The most breathtaking coastal landscapes in the county can be viewed while riding on the North Norfolk Railway, which passes by Victorian seaside resorts and Georgian towns. The railway is known as the top heritage railway in East Anglia and is operated mainly by volunteers from diverse backgrounds. Steam trains run every day from 1 April to 30 October, on weekends in March, and from 12 to 20 February. Check the timetable and events pages for additional details.

Right on the beach, great play area for the kids. We stayed in the hotel, brilliant beds lots of drink sachets and biscuits, plenty of hot water. Very comfy beds and the whole place clean as a whistle. Breakfast was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for the staff even putting a picnic together at the last minute. Great drinks selection in the bar and the grounds are very well kept.
